Krystal is certified secure (again)

I’m delighted to say that we’ve just renewed our ISO/IEC 27001 certification under the latest 2022 standard, with no nonconformities or recommendations. To achieve certification, we’ve undergone a rigorous external check to confirm we’re handling your data with care, consistency and industry-best practice.

This achievement also reflects a huge behind-the-scenes effort from our team, and shows just how seriously we take your security. My personal thanks to all those Krystal team members who helped with the certification.

We’ve launched a new and improved affiliate programme on AWIN, one of the world’s leading affiliate networks. Katapult on the road

Over the last few months, we’ve been out and about with Katapult, our high-performance, in-house-built cloud platform. We kicked things off at Laravel Live in June and we’ll be heading to GopherCon this August. It’s been brilliant chatting with developers about their current hosting setups (and what’s driving them up the wall).

Turns out, UK-based cloud is climbing the priority list, with more teams looking to keep their data close to home. And we were quietly chuffed that sustainability came up a lot in conversations too. Making space for impact

This quarter, we launched a new policy across Krystal: every team member now gets two paid volunteer days a year to support causes they care about. To make this as easy as possible, we’re also building partnerships with local organisations near our employee hubs.

It’s part of a wider effort to embed responsibility into how we work. Behind the scenes, we’ve been holding company-wide Impact Roundtables - open conversations about what responsible business really means and what our team wants to see more of. Their input is directly shaping our priorities and we look forward to sharing our progress with you.
